In the past, the website 'segelflug.de' was the most important information platform for glider pilots, where a wealth of information about our sport was collected. It is also the aim of the association to rebuild this important component for us. 

The foundation stone for this has been laid, but we ask for your understanding that we run the platform on a voluntary basis. It will therefore take some time before we can add new content bit by bit.  At the same time, we would like to encourage you to support us in building this platform. If you have ideas for important content, please contact us! 

The classifieds of Segelflug.de are established in the international gliding community as the most active marketplace for the sale of gliders and accessories and are used intensively. The activation, monitoring and quality assurance of the classifieds will continue to be done by a proven team that has provided this great service on Segelflug.de for many years.
 
For private sellers and clubs an ad in the classifieds is still free of charge. For a fee you still have the possibility to make your ad a premium ad. If the sale of the aircraft or items you are offering has a commercial character, you will have to pay a fee for placing the ad.

The German Gliding Forum is not only a platform for glider pilots from German-speaking countries and beyond to exchange ideas, but also an immense repository of knowledge and expertise. In June 2023, the Gliding Forum was taken offline due to personal reasons on the part of its original operator. It seemed that the forum’s content was lost forever.

Fortunately, the team at the Association, led by our webmaster Lucas, succeeded in migrating the forum content to a new technical platform, thereby preserving it for the gliding community. In doing so, we were able to preserve both the content from the last Gliding Forum (2010–2023) and the content from the very first Gliding Forum (2000–2023).
 
Unfortunately, the active moderation team has dwindled over the years, and by the end, the burden of moderation rested on just a few shoulders. Until we find sufficient reinforcements, we would like to make the forum accessible for reading only. We ask for your understanding in this matter.
 
Currently, the forum is only accessible to registered users who have participated in the forum in the past. The activation of new forum users will take place in a subsequent step. We are also planning to highlight forum posts of particular relevance (e.g., technical tips) and transfer them to a knowledge database.
